Alike 3.0.5 introduces new features as well as improvements and bugfixes.
New Features
- Expanded Hyper-V support now offers "Enhanced Backups" (host based, vss) to protect VMs running any OS
- Initial Physical backup engine and agents added (Beta)
Improvements
- Improved detection and support for Failover Clustered systems
- Q-Hybrid jobs can now 'failover' to Enhanced backups in Hyper-v, as they do in XenServer
- Restore time performance improvements, boosting I/O read speed off of ADS
- Various UI improvements to clarify functionality
Fixes
- Fixed stalled XVA export/import jobs due to mis-identification of an altered XenServer error message.
- .NET detection improved for 8.1 and Windows 2012 R2 systems
- Resolved accidental conversion of backup jobs to Advanced (GFS) retention scheme
- Clarified confusing restore options for Hyper-V restore wizard
- Editing a disabled job will no longer erroneously re-enable the job
Fixes in Build 5294 (1/15/2014)
-Alike Offsite Console could not restore to Hyper-V servers since Alike 3.0.1. This issue is resolved.
-Improved diagnostic logging for Alike support and QA teams.
