Enhanced Backup Support for Hyper-V
Alike now offers 'Enhanced' backup for Hyper-V hosts, in addition to XenServer. What's an Enhanced backup? Enhanced backups allow you to protect any type of guest operating system, Windows or not, as well as powered off, or inaccessable guests. They are completely agentless, and are performed from a host server based VSS snapshot. The VMs being protected will not be interrupted in any way during the backup process.
Alike Support Keys
By request from the Alike community, as of Alike v3.0.5 we will begin offerring Support Keys for purchase. An Alike Support Key is specifically for the Alike Free Edition, and will provide our Free Edition users full access to our technical support team. Support Keys are available for purchase directly on our website, and are available in 1, 2 and 3 year increments. Alike Physical Beta
Although only available to those participating in the Alike Physical Beta program, Alike v3.0.5 includes the new physical protection engine under the hood. This powerful new technology will allow you to protect both your virtual and physical systems from a single backup solution. Furthermore, with our robust DR features such as replication and Offsite Vaulting, you'll be able to include your phsyical systems in the same DR plan as your virtual environment.
